1st Swim School, Mid Sussex

What we do:

• It is the school’s philosophy that each child/young adult can develop their swimming ability at their own pace. This means classes are restricted to a ratio of four pupils per teacher during the important early stages of learning.
• All 1st Swim School teachers are fully ASA/STA qualified, hold lifesaving certificates and have undergone Paediatric First Aid training. Keeping safe in and around water is the main focus of 1st Swim School’s teaching.
• St Wilfrids – There is accessible parking outside the school, but as this is an old style school pool the building and pool area are not wheelchair accessible.
• The pool is 12 metres long and has ladder steps to access. Hurstpierpoint College – This is a 25 metre pool and has ladder steps to access the pool. There is no accessible parking and there is a walk from the car park to the pool building.
