Carers Health Team

Service

A free service provided by Sussex Community NHS Trust providing support for carers over 18 living in West Sussex. Our aim is to improve both your own health and the health of the person you are looking after.

What we do:

  • Support includes: • Arranging short breaks, respite and holidays. • Carer training and activities. • Support for relatives of people in, or considering going into residential or nursing care. • Help with caring for specific conditions.
  • We work closely with other NHS specialist services, social & caring services as well as many other voluntary & community services.
  • Please contact us if you have any questions or think our service may be of use to you. We are open 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (except on bank holidays).
  • If you call outside of working opening times, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as we can . We cover all areas of West Sussex.

    Ultimately unproductive. Last person I spoke to suggested MIND Advocacy, MIND say that as a Carer I'm better off talking to SEAP about things. Meanwhile, 111 sent an ambulance crew to check on my chest pain earlier as Carers Health say they're only short term.
