Weekend play schemes for children aged 5 - 15 years who present with special/additional needs and disabilities. Groups run on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month during school term times.

What we do:

  • Weekend Play Schemes in Adur District for children with special/additional needs aged 5 to 15 years. The child must have an EHCP to be able to join the Play Scheme.
  • Fun, safe, stimulating range of activities run by experienced staff and volunteers in a safe, all-inclusive environment.
  • One to one supervision by our staff.

Our users say:

"Although my child is non-verbal, he always comes home with a smile on his face." "I don't know how I would manage if it weren't for your weekend play schemes." "My husband and I find the respite invaluable as it gives us time to do normal things."

My two boys who both have different needs attend the project. They love going and always have such a great time when they are there. The scheme is managed brilliantly and its team and volunteers can't do enough to make sure my boys have fun. As a parent I feel totally at ease when I leave the boys here for the sessions and i can relax and spend time with my other son knowing they are extremely well catered for. This is invaluable!!! There is always a great range of activities for them to do all fully inclusive! They both come home with smiles on their faces and are always happy. Not to mention worn out from all the fun. There's always been great communication between the team and myself and nothing is any bother when it comes to my boys. I wish u could share some pictures of the things my smallest came home with on his last session. A card, biscuits that he made a plant he's planted and a car/space vehicle!! Yes u read that right!! Great respite!! Great scheme! Highly recommend! Katherine
