What is the event?
Introductory workshop on Universal Credit for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND in West Sussex.
During this informative workshop we will look at all the basic details about Universal Credit, the criteria and how to apply, covering the following:- * Issues around moving to Universal Credit from other benefits * How it is structured, allowances and elements * How income affects this benefit * Information for a young adult applying in their own right
There will be time at the end of the session for attendees to ask their questions, and information resources will also be provided after the workshop.
Please note this course is funded by Reaching Families for parents and carers of children with additional needs in West Sussex. It is not suitable for professionals.

After booking - Once you have booked a place you will receive an email confirmation from Eventbrite. Prior to the workshop you will receive a Zoom link to access the session. You will need to download Zoom in advance but you don’t need to set up an account if you don’t wish to. Zoom can be used on PC’s/Laptops and mobile devices such as iPad, phones and tablets. If you have any questions, please get in touch and we will happily talk you through setting this up if required.
