Making Sense of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
What is the event?
This workshop, delivered by Lizzie Batten from Amaze, is aimed at parent-carers of young people (aged 15+) with Additional Needs and Disabilities who would like to find out about applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP).
The session will cover the process of starting a claim, the rates at which PIP is payable and how decisions are made, strategies for making a strong claim, face to face assessments and phone consultations and what to do if the first decision is no.
There will also be an opportunity for you to ask questions during the session.
This is for parent-carers only (with children 15+ about to transfer/apply for PIP) and not for the young person to attend.
In order that the trainer can have a better understanding of your young person with additional needs and tailor the workshop to your needs, we are requesting details during booking about their age and diagnosis (if appropriate) or description of needs. This information will be stored securely and will only be shared with Lizzie Batten who is the trainer. Needless to say if you have any queries or questions please don't hesitate to contact us.
Please note our workshops are aimed at Parents/Carers, if you are a professional please contact us before booking a ticket firstname.lastname@example.org.
