ASC and ADHD Strategies


What is the event?


Eligibility This 1 day course is primarily aimed at parents and/or carers of children and young people in West Sussex but other family members over 18 are also very welcome. This course is being delivered through a partnership between Coastal West Sussex Mind, West Sussex County Council and West Sussex CCGs.

About the course This workshop looks at ‘why’ children and young people with ASC and ADHD behave and experience the world as they do. We will have an in-depth look at how it affects individuals differently and how parent and carers can prevent stress, anxiety and challenging behaviour. The workshop will present a diverse range of practical strategies to use with children and young people with ASC and ADHD as well as explain the theory behind them. Attendees will get the opportunity to share good ideas and practice with the group.

Getting to the Venue By Car Follow the brown signs to the Regis Centre. We are between Belmont Street and the Esplanade, There is a large car park next door.


By Bus Take a bus to Bognor Regis High Street. Walk east towards the main shopping parade (London Road) and turn right through the arcade. We are located at the end of the arcade (5 minutes walk).

By Train Take a train to Bognor Regis station. Leave the station by the main exit through the booking hall. Turn left to the main shopping precinct (London Road). Cross into the arcade. We are located at the end (10 minutes walk).

Timings The course runs from 09:30 - 16:30. Please arrive in plenty of time to ensure a prompt start
