Youth Voice Half Term Pop-up SEND Strategy Special

Event

What is the event?

For young people aged 14 to 25 with additional needs and disabilities. Siblings and friends welcome to come along too.

Meet our Young Voices 4 You Youth Ambassadors, find out more about what we do, and have some fun. We will be talking about things important to young people, playing some games and sharing ideas.

This half term, you can also have your say on the new SEND and Inclusion Strategy for West Sussex. The strategy is a plan for West Sussex. It is all about children and young people getting the right support in school and college, to achieve and be included . The County Council wants to hear what you have to say about the Strategy. What do you like about it? What would you change? What is important to you?

No need to book, just pop in and say hello. Young people can attend without parent carers, but please be aware that as this is a drop-in, West Sussex County Council staff will not have a duty of care for young people, and they can come and go as they wish. Young people attending unaccompanied, must be able to be responsible for their own safety and well-being whilst at the event.

The event will be held in the Bill Buck room, in Crawley Library.

As with all our events, Makaton , PECS and alternative ways to communicate are very welcome; please just let us know so we can come prepared to talk to you in the way that works best for you.

Public car park on site.

The event is free. Snacks and drinks will be provided. If you are planning to come along and have any dietary requirements , please let us know.
