Have Your Say on the draft SEND and Inclusion Strategy

Event

What is the event?

West Sussex County Council has been reviewing our SEND and Inclusion Strategy. The draft strategy is now ready to be published. The strategy is a plan for West Sussex. It is all about children and young people getting the right support in school and college, to achieve and be included . This event is for young people with additional needs and disabilities, and their parent carers. The County Council wants to hear what you have to say about the Strategy. What do you like about it? What would you change? What is important to you? At this Drop In you can find out more about the new SEND and Inclusion Strategy and have your say. You can have a chat with our SEND Participation Lead and Young Voices 4 You Youth Ambassadors; who can also tell you about other ways young people can have a say in West Sussex. No need to book, just pop in and say hello. Young people can attend without parent carers, but please be aware that as this is a drop-in, West Sussex County Council staff will not have a duty of care for young people, and they can come and go as they wish. Young people attending unaccompanied, must be able to be responsible for their own safety and well-being whilst at the event. The event is in the Student Union at the central Chichester Campus. This event is free, although parking in the college car park at the rear of the building is charged at 50p.Please purchase a ticket from the machine. There is no reserved parking available for this event. Tea, coffee, soft drinks and biscuits will be provided.
